If you contact us via WhatsApp on the occasion of a specific transaction (for example, an order placed), we store and use the mobile phone number you use on WhatsApp and – if provided – your first and last name pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b. DSGVO to process and respond to your request. On the basis of the same legal basis, we may ask you to provide further data (order number, customer number, address or email address) via WhatsApp in order to be able to assign your request to a specific process.

Your data will only be used to respond to your request via WhatsApp. A transfer to third parties does not take place.

Please note that WhatsApp Business obtains access to the address book of the mobile device we use for this purpose and automatically transfers phone numbers stored in the address book to a server of the parent company Meta Platforms Inc. in the USA. For the operation of our WhatsApp Business account, we use a mobile device in whose address book only the WhatsApp contact data of those users who have also contacted us via WhatsApp are stored.

This ensures that every person whose WhatsApp contact data is stored in our address book has already consented to the transmission of his WhatsApp telephone number from the address books of his chat contacts pursuant to Art. 6 (1) lit. a DSGVO when using the app on his device for the first time by accepting the WhatsApp terms of use. A transmission of data of such users who do not use WhatsApp and/or have not contacted us via WhatsApp is excluded in this respect.

For the purpose and scope of the data collection and the further processing and use of the data by WhatsApp, as well as your rights in this regard and setting options for protecting your privacy, please refer to WhatsApp’s privacy policy: https://www.whatsapp.com/legal/?eea=1#privacy-policy

The legal basis for the processing of this data is our legitimate interest in responding to your request pursuant to Art. 6 (1) lit. f DSGVO. If your contact is aimed at a contract, the additional legal basis for the processing is Art. 6 (1) lit. b DSGVO. Your data will be deleted when the circumstances indicate that the matter in question has been conclusively clarified and provided that there are no statutory retention obligations to the contrary.

Deletion of your customer account is possible at any time and can be done by sending a message to the above address of the person responsible. 6.1 Subscription to our e-mail newsletter

If you subscribe to our e-mail newsletter, we will send you information about our offers on a regular basis. Mandatory information for sending the newsletter is only your e-mail address. For sending the newsletter, we use the so-called double opt-in procedure, which ensures that you will only receive newsletters if you have expressly confirmed your consent to receive the newsletter by clicking on a verification link sent to the specified e-mail address.

By activating the confirmation link, you give us your consent for the use of your personal data in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a DSGVO. 6.2 Sending the e-mail newsletter to existing customers

If you have provided us with your e-mail address when purchasing goods or services, we reserve the right to regularly send you offers for similar goods or services, such as those already purchased, from our range by e-mail. In accordance with Section 7 (3) of the German Unfair Competition Act (UWG), we do not need to obtain your separate consent for this. In this respect, the data processing is carried out solely on the basis of our legitimate interest in personalized direct advertising in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f DSGVO. If you have initially objected to the use of your e-mail address for this purpose, we will not send you any e-mails.

You are entitled to object to the use of your e-mail address for the aforementioned advertising purpose at any time with effect for the future by notifying the responsible person named at the beginning. For this, you will only incur transmission costs according to the prime rates. After receipt of your objection, the use of your e-mail address for advertising purposes will cease immediately.

Subject to your express consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) lit. a DSGVO, the provider also carries out a statistical evaluation of the success of newsletter campaigns by means of web beacons or tracking pixels in the emails sent, which can measure opening rates and specific interactions with the contents of the newsletter. In the process, end device information (e.g. time of call, IP address, browser type and operating system) is also collected and evaluated, but not merged with other data sets.

You can revoke your consent to newsletter tracking at any time with effect for the future.

We have concluded an order processing agreement with the provider, which protects the data of our site visitors and prohibits disclosure to third parties.

For data transfers to the USA, the Provider has signed up to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which ensures compliance with the European level of data protection on the basis of an adequacy decision by the European Commission.

7.3 Use of payment service providers (payment services)

– Apple Pay

If you choose the payment method “Apple Pay” of Apple Distribution International (Apple), Hollyhill Industrial Estate, Hollyhill, Cork, Ireland, the payment processing is carried out via the “Apple Pay” function of your terminal device running iOS, watchOS or macOS by charging a payment card deposited with “Apple Pay”. Apple Pay uses security functions integrated into the hardware and software of your device to protect your transactions. In order to release a payment, you must enter a code previously defined by you and verify it using the “Face ID” or “Touch ID” function of your end device.

For the purpose of payment processing, the information you provide during the ordering process, together with information about your order, is passed on to Apple in encrypted form. Apple then encrypts this data again with a developer-specific key before the data is transmitted to the payment service provider of the payment card stored in Apple Pay to carry out the payment. The encryption ensures that only the website through which the purchase was made can access the payment data. After the payment is made, Apple sends your device account number and a transaction-specific, dynamic security code to the originating website to confirm the success of the payment.

Insofar as personal data is processed during the described transfers, the processing is carried out exclusively for the purpose of payment processing in accordance with Art. 6 (1) lit. b DSGVO.

Apple retains anonymized transaction data, including the approximate amount of the purchase, the approximate date and time, and whether the transaction was completed successfully. Anonymization completely eliminates any reference to individuals. Apple uses the anonymized data to improve “Apple Pay” and other Apple products and services.

When you use Apple Pay on iPhone or Apple Watch to complete a purchase made through Safari on Mac, the Mac and the authorization device communicate over an encrypted channel on Apple’s servers. Apple does not process or store any of this information in a format that can identify you personally. You can disable the ability to use Apple Pay on your Mac in your iPhone settings. Go to “Wallet & Apple Pay”, and uncheck “Allow payments on Mac”.

Further information on data protection with Apple Pay can be found at the following Internet address: https://support.apple.com/de-de/HT203027

When paying via PayPal, credit card via PayPal, direct debit via PayPal or – if offered – “Pay Later” via PayPal, we pass on your payment data to PayPal (Europe) S.a.r.l. et Cie, S.C.A., 22-24 Boulevard Royal, L-2449 Luxembourg (hereinafter “PayPal”) as part of the payment processing. The transfer takes place in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b DSGVO and only insofar as this is necessary for the payment processing.

For the payment methods credit card via PayPal, direct debit via PayPal or – if offered – “Pay later” via PayPal – PayPal reserves the right to conduct a credit check. For this purpose, your payment data may be passed on to credit agencies in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO on the basis of PayPal’s legitimate interest in determining your solvency. PayPal uses the result of the credit check in terms of the statistical probability of non-payment for the purpose of deciding on the provision of the respective payment method. The credit report may contain probability values (so-called score values). Insofar as score values are included in the result of the credit report, they have their basis in a scientifically recognized mathematical-statistical procedure. The calculation of the score values includes, but is not limited to, address data. You can object to this processing of your data at any time by sending a message to PayPal. 9) Web analytics services

9.1 Google (Universal) Analytics

This website uses Google (Universal) Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland (“Google”), which enables an analysis of your use of our website.

Google (Universal) Analytics is used on this website exclusively without the use of cookies, which means that the service does not set cookies on your terminal device at any time.

Instead, the local memory of your browser is used to store an individual ID assigned by Google (Universal) Analytics, which enables an analysis of your use of the website. For this purpose, certain user information is processed via the ID. The scope of this information also includes your IP address, which is, however, shortened by Google by the last digits in order to exclude a direct personal reference.

The IP address transmitted and shortened by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other data from Google. The data collected in the context of the use of Google (Universal) Analytics will be stored for a period of two months and then deleted.

Without your consent, Google (Universal) Analytics will not be used during your visit to the site. You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future.

To exercise your revocation, you can download and install the browser plugin available at the following link:

Demographic characteristics

Google (Universal) Analytics uses the special function “demographic characteristics” and can use it to create statistics that make statements about the age, gender and interests of site visitors. This is done by analyzing advertising and information from third-party providers. This allows target groups to be identified for marketing activities. However, the collected data cannot be assigned to a specific person and is deleted after being stored for a period of two months.

Google Signals

As an extension to Google (Universal) Analytics, Google Signals can be used on this website to generate cross-device reports. 9.2 Google Analytics 4

This website uses Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland (“Google”), which enables an analysis of your use of our website.

By default, Google Analytics 4 does not use cookies when you visit the website, unless you expressly consent to cookies. Instead, information about your usage behavior is collected and processed through so-called pings (small data packets sent to the host of an end device). The scope of this information also includes your IP address, which is, however, shortened by Google by the last digits to exclude a direct personal reference.

The information is transferred to Google servers and processed there. In the process, transfers to Google LLC, based in the USA, are also possible.

Google uses the information collected on our behalf to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity for us and to provide other services related to website activity and internet usage. The IP address transmitted and shortened by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other data from Google. The data collected in the context of the use of Google Analytics 4 will be stored for a period of two months and then deleted.

All processing described above, including data transmission by “pings” and the possible setting of Google Analytics cookies, will only take place if you have given us your express consent for this in accordance with Art. 6 (1) lit. a DSGVO.

Without your consent, Google Analytics 4 will not be used during your visit to the site. You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future. To exercise your right of revocation, please deactivate this service via the “Cookie Consent Tool” provided on the website.

We have concluded an order processing agreement with Google, which ensures the protection of our site visitors’ data and prohibits unauthorized disclosure to third parties.

Further legal information on Google Analytics 4 can be found at https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de&gl=de and at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Demographic characteristics

Google Analytics 4 uses the special “demographic characteristics” function and can use it to create statistics that make statements about the age, gender and interests of site visitors. This is done by analyzing advertising and information from third-party providers. This allows target groups to be identified for marketing activities. However, the collected data cannot be assigned to a specific person and is deleted after being stored for a period of two months.

Google Tag Manager provides a technical basis for bundling various web applications, including tracking and analysis services, and for calibrating, controlling, and attaching conditions to them via a uniform user interface. 10) Retargeting/ Remarketing and Conversion Tracking

10.1 Facebook pixel for creating Custom Audiences with advanced data matching (with cookie consent tool)

Within our online offer, we use the service “Facebook Pixel” of the following provider in the mode of extended data matching: Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Quare, Dublin 2, Ireland (“Facebook”).

If a user clicks on an ad placed by us on Facebook, a parameter is added to the URL of our linked page with the help of “Facebook Pixel”. This URL parameter is then entered into the user’s browser after the redirect by a cookie that our linked page sets itself. In addition, this cookie collects specific customer data such as the e-mail address that we collect on our website linked to the Facebook ad during transactions such as purchase transactions, account logins or registrations (extended data matching). The cookie is then read and enables the transmission of the data including the specific customer data to Facebook.

We use “Facebook Pixel” with advanced data matching to make our Facebook ads (so-called “Facebook Ads”) more effective and to ensure that they match the interests of users or have certain characteristics (e.g. interests in certain topics or products determined on the basis of the websites visited) that we transmit to Facebook (so-called “Custom Audiences”).

In addition, we analyze the effectiveness of our ads by tracking whether users were redirected to our website after clicking on an ad (conversion). Compared to the standard “Facebook Pixel” variant, the advanced data matching feature helps us better measure the effectiveness of our ad campaigns by capturing more attributed conversions.

All transmitted data will be stored and processed by Facebook so that an assignment to the respective user profile is possible and Facebook can use the data for its own advertising purposes in accordance with Facebook’s data usage guidelines (https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/). The data may enable Facebook as well as its partners to place ads on and outside of Facebook.

All processing described above, in particular the setting of cookies for reading out information on the end device used, will only be carried out if you have given us your express consent to do so in accordance with Art. 6 (1) a DSGVO. You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future by deactivating this service in the “Cookie Consent Tool” provided on the website.

We have concluded an order processing agreement with the provider, which ensures the protection of our site visitors’ data and prohibits unauthorized disclosure to third parties.

The information generated by Facebook is usually transferred to a Facebook server and stored there; in this context, there may also be a transfer to servers of Meta Platforms Inc. in the USA.

For data transfers to the USA, the Provider has signed up to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which ensures compliance with the European level of data protection on the basis of an adequacy decision by the European Commission.

10.2 Google Ads Remarketing

This website uses retargeting technology from the following provider: Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland.

For this purpose, Google sets a cookie in the browser of your terminal device, which automatically enables interest-based advertising by means of a pseudonymous cookie ID and on the basis of the pages you have visited. Additional data processing only takes place if you have consented to Google linking your internet and app browsing history to your Google account and using information from your Google account to personalize ads you view on the web. In this case, if they are logged in to Google while visiting our website, Google will use your data together with Google Analytics data to create and define target group lists for cross-device remarketing. For this purpose, Google temporarily links your personal data with Google Analytics data to form target groups. In the course of using Google Ads Remarketing, personal data may also be transmitted to the servers of Google LLC. in the USA.

All processing described above, in particular the setting of cookies for the reading of information on the end device used, will only be carried out if you have given us your express consent to do so in accordance with Art. 6 (1) a DSGVO. 10.3 Google Ads Conversion Tracking

This website uses the online advertising program “Google Ads” and, within the scope of Google Ads, the conversion tracking of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland (“Google”).

We use the offer of Google Ads to draw attention to our attractive offers with the help of advertising media (so-called Google Adwords) on external websites. We can determine how successful the individual advertising measures are in relation to the data of the advertising campaigns. In this way, we pursue the aim of displaying advertising that is of interest to you, making our website more interesting for you and achieving a fair calculation of the advertising costs incurred.

The cookie for conversion tracking is set when a user clicks on an ad placed by Google Ads. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your terminal device. These cookies usually lose their validity after 30 days and are not used for personal identification. If the user visits certain pages of this website and the cookie has not yet expired, Google and we can recognize that the user clicked on the ad and was redirected to this page. Each Google Ads customer receives a different cookie. Cookies can therefore not be tracked across Google Ads customers’ websites. The information obtained using the conversion cookie is used to create conversion statistics for Google Ads customers who have opted in to conversion tracking. The clients learn the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page tagged with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive information that personally identifies users.

The use of Google Ads may also result in the transmission of personal data to the servers of Google LLC. in the USA.

Details on the processing triggered by Google Ads Conversion Tracking and Google’s handling of data from websites can be found here: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites

You can also permanently object to the setting of cookies by Google Ads conversion tracking by downloading and installing the Google browser plug-in available at the following link:

https://www.google.com/settings/ads/plugin?hl=de

In order to address users whose data we have received in the context of business or business-like relationships in a more interest-oriented advertising manner, we use a customer matching function in the context of Google Ads. For this purpose, we transmit one or more files with aggregated customer data (primarily mail addresses and telephone numbers) electronically to Google. Google does not have access to clear data, but automatically encrypts the information in the customer files during the transmission process using a special algorithm. The encrypted information can then only be used by Google to assign it to existing Google accounts that the data subjects have set up. This enables personalized advertising to be played via all Google services linked to the respective Google account.

The transmission of customer data to Google will only take place if you have given us your express consent to do so in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a DSGVO. You can revoke this consent at any time with effect for the future. If there are statutory retention periods for data that is processed within the scope of legal or quasi-legal obligations on the basis of Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. b DSGVO, this data will be routinely deleted after expiry of the retention periods, insofar as it is no longer required for the fulfillment or initiation of a contract and/or we do not have a legitimate interest in continuing to store it.

When processing personal data on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) DSGVO, this data will be stored until you exercise your right to object pursuant to Art. 21(1) DSGVO, unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves to assert, exercise or defend legal claims.

When processing personal data for the purpose of direct marketing based on Art. 6 (1) lit. f DSGVO, this data will be stored until you exercise your right to object according to Art. 21 (2) DSGVO.

Unless otherwise stated in the other information in this statement about specific processing situations, stored personal data will otherwise be deleted when it is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected or otherwise processed.
